Home from the Hospital

On the way home from the hospital we stopped at Grammy and Papa's house because Papa wasn't able to meet Tanner yet since he just had knee surgery. Tanner was so excited to meet his Papa since they share the same birthday! Tanner did really well in the car seat. Mommy even sat up front with Daddy, but good thing that the mirror was in the car because she watched him the whole way home to make sure he was ok! Daddy was not a big fan of the mittons Mommy put on Tanner but she was afraid he would scratch his face! After the long day Tanner finally arrived at home and passed out in his new little seat! Welcome Home Tanner!!

July 25, 2008...the BIG DAY!!!

Here are some photos from the big day...July 25, 2008. It was an exciting day for all of us with both families patiently awaiting the arrival of Tanner John. He was born at 12:02 pm and was absolutely adorable from the start. His daddy saw him right away when they were cleaning him up and mommy got to hear his scream! It was a great relief to hear those powerful lungs to know that he was finally here and was healthy!

Tanner's Room

I decided that the best way to keep everyone up to date with the lastest photos of Tanner I would start a blog. This way you can log on whenever you want to see what the McCarthy Family is up to! I guess I will start with the beginning of photos of Tanner's room. Travis worked very hard to get it all set up for the little guy before his arrival. And of course the theme is construction, just like his dad! I still need to get him his own hard hat though!
